Living in Avon 
Avon Indiana is located about 8 miles west of Downtown Indianapolis. Once considered country living, the town of Avon has grown to be one of the most desired towns to live in the western portion of Indianapolis. US 36 runs through the center of Avon, offering easy access to shopping, dining, parks and entertainment. Avon real estate consists mostly of single family homes in Traditional American style and many custom built homes and neighborhoods. Woodcreek Crossing is a Drees Homes Community located off 21st Street (CR200N) between Dan Jones and SR 267. Drees Homes is known for their quality homes and neighborhoods. Take a drive through Woodcreek Crossing and you'll see why this is one of Avon residents favorite communities.
