Woodruff Place is one of Indianapolis' most well known Historic Districts with homes built in the late 1800's to early 1900's. Many homes were converted in apartments in the 70's and the neighborhood has mostly been revitalized. Located just west of downtown, Woodruff Place was originally a suburb of the city. With broad boulevards and medians adorned with statues and water fountains, it was a turn of the century neighborhood of the wealthy.
