Now, onto the best of the local breweries and brewpubs in Indianapolis.
Brewery Tours
If you're interested in sampling a wide variety of tasty brews across Indianapolis and you have a free afternoon, you may wish to take a guided brew tour.
1. Indy Brew Bus
The Indy Brew Bus is Indianapolis's original brewery tour. Sign-up for a tour in the little green bus with a friend, a group of friends, or you can even go solo. This tour group makes it very easy to register for a time slot online, in the afternoon or evening, Thursday through Sunday.
The Indy Brew Bus wil pick you up from one of many locations in Downtown Indianapolis. Each bus holds 14 passengers, so if you go alone you may not know anyone on the bus, but by the end of the night you'll have several new best friends. The Bus takes you to four different Indianapolis breweries over the span of 3.5 hours and you'll get samples from each one. The fee includes samples, the ride, water on the bus, and a lot of fun stories from your tour guide.
The cost is $30 per person.
The Indy Brew Bus visits these breweries, and you'll get to visit four of these five:
Sun King Brewery
Flat 12 Bierwerks
Fountain Square Brewing Co.
Bier Brewery and Taproom
Indiana City Brewing Company
