Distressed properties can offer an excellent investment opportunity and sometimes put a home otherwise unaffordable into yoru price range. Don't worry if you are not handy with a toolbox as there are many reputable handyman and remodeling companies in the area you can call on!
26% is shockingly high for distressed home sales. It makes one wonder if the housing market is starting to get back on track or not. I'm curious to see how the upcoming election ends up effecting these kind of statistics.
It sounds like the foreclosure market is good. If they account for only 16% but account for more than a quater of the sales, it seems like the that market is moving pretty good.
We have been noticing a decline in the distressed sales in the Central Florida area. How do those numbers compare to a year or two ago? Distressed properties can typically be a great opportunity for buyers to get a great deal on a home. I have recently noticed that some banks are pricing their homes at or above market value. Home buyers can benefit from the expertise of a seasoned real estate agent to guide them through the good and the bad deals.
