1/16 MONDAY ~ FREE ADMISSION DAY, INDIANA HISTORY CENTER
In celebration of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. the Indiana History Center will be offering free admission, films about Dr. King’s life and the Civil Rights era and a special themed craft.   

1/16 MONDAY ~ FREE ADMISSION DAY, CONNER PRARIE
In celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the park will be open to the public from 10am until 5pm, free of charge.  Bring a canned good to support Third Phase, Hamilton County.  Conner Prairie

1/16 MONDAY ~ FREE ADMISSION DAY, THE CHILDREN’S MUSEUM OF INDIANAPOLIS
The Children's Museum will offer free admission today, plus enjoy special activities and performances celebrating the legacy, life & achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Childrens Museum

1/16 MONDAY ~ CELEBRATION GOSPEL FESTIVAL
Celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir, singers from IPS schools, plus 50 area congregations at the Madame Walker Theatre. Madame Walker Theatre

1/16 MONDAY – 1/21 SATURDAY ~ “STUART LITTLE” AT THE ATHENAEUM THEATRE
Members of the Young Actors Theatre present the endearing story of a little mouse and his many adventures with his New York family.  Young Actors Theatre

 1/19 THURSDAY – 1/22 SUNDAY ~ WINTER MAGIC FESTIVAL
Your worries will *poof* disappear as you’re whisked away to the IndyFringe Theatre - where magic is real.  Indy Fringe Theatre

1/20 FRIDAY – 1/22 SUNDAY ~ CHOCOLATE WALK
Stroll Downtown Danville Courthouse Square in search of chocolate bliss.  Today through the 28th, several businesses will have a variety of chocolate offerings from brownies to fudge & truffles to hot chocolate. More Info 

1/20 FRIDAY – 1/22 SUNDAY ~ 90th ANNUAL INDIANAPOLIS HOME SHOW A family outing that you can enjoy with or without your little ones.  Plenty to do, see, sample and plan at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.  Show runs until Sunday January 29th. Indianpolis Home Show

1/20 FRIDAY – 1/22 SUNDAY ~ “COMPANY” AT THE CARMEL COMMUNITY PLAYHOUSE Take in a live performance of one of Stephen Sondheim's signature musicals.  This Tony Award winning show runs through Feb. 4th.   Carmel Community Playhouse

1/21 SATURDAY ~ OPENING NIGHT, “REPRESENT: CELEBRATING INDIANA’S AFRICAN-AMERICAN ARTISTS” 
View works of art by more than 20 African-American artists at the Indiana State Museum.  This show runs through July 15th.  Indiana State Museum

1/22 SUNDAY ~ PURDUE UNIVERSITY VARSITY GLEE CLUB
The Warren Performing Arts Center hosts this 60+ member men's chorus in a performance that will stir your soul with its inspiring sound. More Information

1/22 SUNDAY ~ COMPLEXIONS CONTEMPORY BALLET
Don’t miss the show that has The New York Times raving.  A creative collaboration of who they call 'one of the great modern dancers of this time' and 'one of the [dance world's] most sought out choreographers'.  Center for the Performing Arts, Carmel IN.

It looks like Indianapolis is becoming a hot spot for people who want more quality of life-it seems to have the diversity that we have on the East Coast as well as some wonderful cultural attractions.

I love this resource for people living in your area. Looks like if you live in Indy you have no reason to sit home with nothing to do! Canon City CO, had their Chocolate walk Valentines weekend and it was a HUGE success! OK, it was a cold snowing day but everyone had fun!
