Land, real estate and homes in Danville are available in any price range imaginable, from $20,000 to $1,000,000.
Historic Downtown Danville
The city maintains a beautifully historic downtown square, where business centers around the courthouse. Small mom-and-pop shops and local diners line the perimeter of this traditional square. The courthouse square is also host to many events throughout the year, from farmers markets and scarecrow decorating contests to art exhibits and concerts. One truly takes a walk back in time when visiting this historic town square.
History of Danville
In 1824, four men combined 20 acres each of their own land and created the town of Danville. It was incorporated in 1858 and, according to the Polk Directory published in 1882, was “a pleasant town of 2,000 inhabitants, containing good county buildings, 6 churches, a graded school, a good college, one hotel, and 2 banks,” (Indiana State Gazetteer & Business Directory, 1882-83 R.L. Polk & Co.). Although Danville has come a long way since that description in 1882, one fact still remains -- it is a pleasant town!
Danville now has 8,000+ residents served by the Danville Community School Corporation. The city has 2 elementary schools, 1 middle and 1 high school, a public library, a local newspaper as well as the superb Hendricks Regional Hospital.

Locals can take in a community theatre show, visit the Hendricks County Museum, play 18 holes of golf or catch a flick at the Royal Movie Theatre. An annual treat is the Hendricks County Fair, located on the 4H fairgrounds. This and many other attractions draw people from all over the county and state.
Danville truly is a great place to spend an hour or a lifetime.
