The Mapleton-Fall Creek neighborhood is a triangular area bounded by 38th Street on the north, Meridian Street on the west and Fall Creek Parkway on the southeast. Settled in the 1840s, this area is named after Mapleton, a 19th-century farming village defined by huge groves of sugar maple trees, and neighboring waterway Fall Creek.
